The bilateral meeting of the Governor and the Ambassador of Belarus

The building of the Regional Administration hosted a bilateral meeting of the Governor of Smolensk region Alexey Ostrovskiy and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation Igor Petrishenko.

The meeting discussed the prospects of expanding trade and economic cooperation of Smolensk region with the Belarusian regions, strengthening business contacts in different spheres of the industrial production, agricultural sector, logistics, partnerships in the social sphere and business community.

Special attention was paid to the issues of the cross-border cooperation and joint investment projects.

"I'll be pleased to come here with working visits. Every time I come I see how prettier Smolensk is getting. I am saying it sincerely. It applies to the quality of our joint M1 motorway, and to the neighboring territories, and to the entrance drive to Smolensk. The city is developing, today we have been happy to see it", - said Igor Petrishenko at the meeting.
