XXV Smolensk regional festival of the creative youth

Deputy Governor Olga Okuneva visited the XXV Smolensk regional festival of the creative youth, where she took part in the celebrations dedicated to the Day of the State Flag of the Russian Federation.

This year the tourist complex "Sokoliya Gora" hosted the festival which gathered 230 talented young people from Smolensk region: high school students, president of high school student councils, presidents of school republics. 39 commissioners from Smolensk regional Pedagogical Detachment "Krylaty" are going to reveal the talents of the participants.

After marching past the festival guests with chants and songs, the participants gave a drama performance "Heads up proudly raise", dedicated to the Day of the National flag.

This year festival of the creative youth will give the young people to demonstrate their abilities and talents in sports competitions, as well as in the educational events and forums. Traditionally, there will be "The New Atlantis" state organized in the camp and the young people will be able to participate in the life of the New Atlantis’s parties, People's Assembly, to take part in the election campaign and elect the Supreme Archon of the republic.

"This is a great festival and a project that has existed for 25 years already,- said the Deputy Governor Olga Okuneva.- The Administration of Smolensk region and Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy support this project and monitor its development. We are interested in the lives of the young people who participated in the training. It is very important that there is continuity, and that such patriotic festival takes place on the day of the Russian State Flag. The young people understand what the state symbols mean, they honor the Russian traditions. Coming back to their educational institutions and municipalities, the participants of the festival will have a positive impact on their peers, helping each other to develop a sense of responsibility to their homeland".
