The results of the "Golden Phoenix" festival

In Smolensk there was the closing ceremony of the VII All-Russian Festival of actors and directors "Golden Phoenix", at which the prizes were awarded to the winners of the Film Forum. The Grand Prix of the Fistival - the "Diamond Phoenix" - was given to Vera Glagoleva for the film "Two Women", filmed in the Novospasskoe village at the museum-estate of the composer Mikhail Glinka in the Smolensk region.

The "Golden Phoenix" Festival took place in Smolensk from 7 to 12 September. 25 films were presented for the competition: 18 full-length fiction films, five short-length fiction films and two documentaries.

The Grand Prix of the Fistival - the "Diamond Phoenix" - was given to Vera Glagoleva for the film "Two Women", filmed in the Novospasskoe village at the museum-estate of the composer Mikhail Glinka in the Smolensk region.

The "Golden Phoenix" Festival took place in Smolensk from 7 to 12 September. 25 films were presented for the competition: 18 full-length fiction films, five short-length fiction films and two documentaries. The main sites of the festival were the cinema "Sovremennik" and the newly opened cinema "Smena", as well as the Tenishevs Culture and Exhibition Centre. Traditionally, in addition to watching films, the residents of Smolensk met with their favorite actors during the Festival. So, the cinema "Sovremennik" hosted performances of People's Actors of Russia Boris Klyuyev, Maxim Dunayevsky and Valery Garkalin. The special event of the "Golden Phoenix - 2014" was the embedment of a star in honor of Iosif Kobzon, who was awarded a prize from the Directors Guild of Russia "For the great contribution to cinema". Another star, which appeared on the Walk of Fame during this year’s Festival, was the star of Maxim Dunayevsky.

The jury, which consisted of Irina Lachina, Natalia Khorokhorina, Yuri Chernov, Svetlana Khokhriakova, as well as the Chairman Marlen Khutsiev, decided on the fate of the film festival awards.

The main prize of the VII All-Russian Festival of actors and directors "Golden Phoenix" was awarded to Vera Glagoleva for the film "Two Women", filmed last year in the Smolensk region - in the village Novospasskoe at the museum-estate of the composer Mikhail Glinka.

The prize for the best debut – the "Ruby Phoenix" in honor of Yuri Gagarin - was awarded to the director Alexei Vorobyov, who directed a short film "Daddy".

The third main award of the Festival – the Audience Award the "Sapphire Phoenix" - was awarded to the director Vera Storozhevaya for the film "9 days and one morning".
