The growth points in the Glinka district

During his working trip to the Glinka district the Governor visited LLC "Glinkovskie zerkala" in the district center and a municipal kindergarten "Solnyshko".

Since 2013 LLC "Glinkovskie zerkala" has been implementing an investment project of organizing mirror production in the Glinka district. The deadline for launching the production as part of the socio-economic life of the district is 2013-2016. The total investment volume for the project is 38.8 million rubles, and the expected social effect is creating 50 jobs.

Currently the mirror producing company employs 12 people. As part of the project the three workshops producing mirrors for the furniture factories, the assembly workshop and the workshop producing household mirrors are being reconstructed, a garage and warehouses are being built. The supply of the latest technological equipment is planned for this year, the necessary legal procedures are being carried out. The acquisition of the quenching line with belt equipment and a manipulator is planned for 2015. Currently the first workshop has been built, the design and estimate documentation is ready for the building of the second one.

The founder of the company Leonid Leibov thanked Alexey Ostrovskiy for the repair of the driveway, which was done very quickly. For the production of such fragile products as mirrors road bumps are highly undesirable. During his visit to the Glinka district on March, 6 the Governor ordered to allocate from the road fund of the region the money to repair the driveway to the mirror producing plant. The repairs were carried out by the Smolensk regional budgetary institution "Smolenskavtodor" - 540 meters of the road were repaired.

Then the Head of the region looked at the samples of the original products, which have already been manufactured at the plant: various kinds of mirrors, tables with glass tops, etc.

The other "growth” (in the direct meaning of this word) point of the Glinka district visited by Alexey Ostrovskiy was the municipal budget kindergarten "Solnyshko”, situated in the Glinka settlement. The head of the preschool institution Marina Novikova showed the Head of the region around.

The premises of the kindergarten "Solnyshko” are the four detached one-storey buildings, which have been in use since 1976. In 2014 at the expense of the local budget the buildings were redecorated and the new children's playgrounds were built. Now there are 5 groups with 92 children in the kindergarten. The average size of a group is 19 children. The kindergarten employs 26 people, including 12 teaching staff.

The main problem of the kindergarten is the badly needed replacement of the doors and windows in the buildings, the sewerage system is also in urgent need of repair. The replacement of the doors and windows will cost about 500 thousand rubles, the repair of the sewerage system will cost 300 thousand rubles. After the tour of the kindergarten premises the Governor decided to allocate funds from the Reserve Fund of the Smolensk regional Administration to carry out much-needed repairs.
