Smolensk region is one of the leaders on the implementation of the law "On the basis of social services for citizens in the Russian Federation"

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation announced the first results of the implementation of the Federal law "On the basis of social services for citizens in the Russian Federation".

According to the assessment given by the Head of the Ministry Maxim Topilin, Smolensk region was named among the regions successfully implementing the Federal law. This is proved by its leading position in a number of indicators. The efficiency and timeliness of actions to adopt appropriate regulations, the development of individual programs for all recipients of social services (implemented only in 15 regions), the formed registry of social service providers and the registry of recipients were pointed out. In addition, Smolensk region has become one of the regions in which the number of social services has been increased.

Maxim Topilin set the task to consider in the subjects of the Russian Federation the possibility of including veterans and invalids of the Great Patriotic War in the list of persons entitled to receive social services free of charge. In our region this issue has been already solved positively - in accordance with the resolution of Smolensk region Administration, beginning from May this category of citizens will receive free social services at home.
