Smolensk region will receive additional subsidies for the agricultural sector

The Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on distribution of additional subsidies to the regions for reimbursement of interest rate on investment loans and loans for the development of crop production, as well as for providing grants for the development of family livestock farms.

The Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on distribution of additional subsidies to the regions for reimbursement of interest rate on investment loans and loans for the development of crop production, as well as for providing grants for the development of family livestock farms.

The new distribution of financial aid to the regions was approved in accordance with the national "anti-crisis plan". As it is said on the website of the Government, the amount of funds for reimbursement of interest rate on investment loans and loans for the development of crop production has been increased by 2.1 billion Rubles, and the amount of funds for the subsidies for the development of family livestock farms is 1,65 billion Rubles.

In accordance with the new directives, Smolensk region will receive over 20 million Rubles (in total) for reimbursement of the interest rate on investment loans for the development of crop production, processing, infrastructure and logistics of markets for agricultural products. Smolensk region will receive about 17 million rubles, including additional budget funds for the development of family livestock farms.
