Smolensk region will receive federal subsidies for the support of young families

The Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on the distribution of subsidies in 2015 to the regions for providing social benefits to young families for purchase or construction of housing. The funds will be distributed to 74 subjects of the Federation, including Smolensk region, selected on the basis of competition.

The subsidies are provided to the regions within the framework of the subprogram "Providing housing for young families" of the federal target program "Housing" for 2011-2015. It provides the allocation of social payments for the purchase (construction) of housing to young families in need of better housing conditions: at least 30% of the estimated value of the property may be returned to the young families who do not have children and at least 35% to the families with one child or more.

According to the explanatory statements to the document, in 2015 18,910 young families will be able to improve their living conditions through the funds provided by the subprogram.

In accordance with the decree, Smolensk region will receive more than 22.5 million Rubles.
