The Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree to increase in 2015 subsidies for the development of crop production and processing, infrastructure and logistics of the markets for these products. 79 regions, including Smolensk region, will receive additional funds for this purpose.

As noted in the explanatory statements to the document, the subsidies are allocated within the framework of the State program of agricultural development and regulation of markets for agricultural products, raw materials and food for 2013-2020, and in accordance with the "anti-crisis plan" of the Government.

In June of this year, the regions have been allocated more than 11.5 billion rubles for the co-financing of expenditure obligations relating to compensation of interest rates on investment loans (loans) for the development of crop production and processing, infrastructure and logistics of the markets for these products. The new decree provides additional 3.8 billion rubles, which 79 subjects of the Federation will receive. Thus, the total volume of funds allocated has amounted to about 15.5 billion rubles.
