The Year of Teacher is the 1st page of the new history of the educational sphere of the Smolensk region

Sergey Antufiev gave Thank you Letters of the Governor of the Smolensk region to the best teachers.

In the Centre of Culture «Gubernsky» there was a solemn ceremony of ending of the Year of Teacher in the Russian Federation. Sergey Antufiev took part in the ceremony.

The Governor emphasized that from that moment problems of all-round support of the educational sphere, improvement of working conditions for pedagogical workers, equipping the institutions with modern facilities, social support of teachers would be priority directions of the activity of the Administration of the Smolensk region.

«Today we are summing up the results of the new attitude to a person of educational work and that is the first page of the new history of the educational sphere of the Smolensk region, - said Sergey Antufiev addressing to the pedagogical community. – The Year of Teacher let us use new ways of development of the educational system and see targets for the future. Within the limits of the Year of Teacher we had 11 thematic contests that showed that the main thing was the greatest talent of people who had chosen teaching. It is not accidental that more than 30 teachers got a great status Honoured Teacher of Russia.

We can proud of our outstanding teachers who «give their hearts» to children. I’m sure that your work will return a hundredfold to our children!»

For long-term conscientious work, high professionalism, great personal contribution to teaching and upbringing of the rising generation of the Smolensk region the teachers were given Honoured Letters from the Administration of the Smolensk region and Thank you Letters from the Governor of the Smolensk region.
