Smolensk region is against drugs

The official data provided by the federal agencies combating illegal drug trafficking is not comforting: in Russia the death rate from this global evil is several times higher than the European figures.

In order to prevent drug abuse in Smolensk region, along with the daily work of government agencies and local government, law enforcement agencies, comprehensive measures are taken on a regular basis, including public actions, explanatory work among various population groups, awareness-raising campaigns.

In April-May in the region there will be a month-long anti-drug action, in which it is planned to hold a series of lectures, discussions, specialized sessions, interactive and promotion campaigns, forums for children, teenagers, and young adults.

On March 14-25 the region is going to host the first stage of the All-Russian anti-drug campaign "Let me know where they sell death". The Directorate of the Federal Drug Control Service of Russia in Smolensk region organized 24/7 telephone hotline in Smolensk, as well as in their inter-district offices in Vyazma, Roslavl and Safonovo districts (www.fskn-smolensk.ru).
