Smolensk will host the first regional championship "Young Professionals"

Smolensk will host the first regional championship "Young Professionals" of Smolensk region (WorldSkillsRussia) on March 14-18. It will bring together more than 70 students of vocational educational organizations, whose work will be evaluated by more than 100 experts: industrial training instructors, teachers, and employees of the companies and organizations of Smolensk and Smolensk region.

The aim of the movement is to raise the prestige of working professions and to develop working skills. The competitions within the WorldSkills championships are held in different competencies: from traditional crafts to multidisciplinary profession in the field of industry and services.

The competitions within the framework of the Regional championship WSR will be held at 4 venues in Smolensk and Smolensk region in 12 competencies. The "Yubileiny" Sports Palace will be the central venue. It will host the competitions in 6 competencies: network and system administration, software solutions for business, fashion design, pre-school education, teaching in the elementary grades, hairdressing.
