Day of Culture Professionals is being celebrated in the Smolensk region

The Vice Governor Olga Okuneva took part in the celebration of Day of Culture Professionals. The best museum workers, librarians, writers, artists, composers, theater performers from all over the region got together in the cultural and recreational center "Gubernsky".

Culture Professionals Day has been annually celebrated in Russia since March 25, 2007. This is a special day, because culture is the main source of values ​​in the society. The Smolensk land has given the world a number of outstanding writers and poets, artists, musicians, actors and public figures.

On this day the "Gubernsky" center also hosted a fair of cultural institutions of the Smolensk region, master classes in different crafts, performances of choirs.

The Vice Governor Olga Okuneva congratulated on their professional holiday the representatives of creative professions, as well as those who work on the preservation and promotion of culture.

The Metropolitan of Smolensk and Roslavl Isidor joined in the congratulations addressed to the professionals of the cultural sphere.

At the end of the celebration there was a performance of creative groups of the region.
