The results of the nationwide campaign "I love space!"

More than 2.5 million people from 18 cities of Russia participated in the action "I love space!".

On April 12, the day of the 55th anniversary of the first manned flight into space, the state corporation "Roscosmos" held a nationwide campaign "Raise your head!". Residents of megacities and cities associated with the name of Yuri Gagarin came to the central squares and simultaneously released into the sky the balloons with the symbols of the 55th anniversary of the first flight and the slogan "Raise your head!". This large-scale flash mob took place in the homeland of the first cosmonaut - in the town of Gagarin.

At the sites of the campaign there was an installation "Gagarin's Start", which represented a model of the rocket with the button "I love Space" and a LED display. On the day of the flash mob, each participant pressed the button, and the organizers counted the number of "presses" to find out which region of Russia loves space most. The results of the action were announced on the day of the launch of the rocket-carrier from the first Russian civilian spaceport "Vostochny".

According to the results calculated by a special formula (in ratio of votes to the number of residents), Zheleznogorsk was the first, Gagarin was the second, Perm was the third. The organizers congratulated the winners and all the participants of the action "I love space!".
