The results of the regional competition "Teacher of the Year - 2016"

Smolensk regional Administration hosted the award ceremony for the winners of the XXVI regional competition "Teacher of the Year".

The Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy, education professionals, representatives of local authorities, trade unions and the teaching community took part in the ceremony of honoring the best teachers of Smolensk region.

The contest "Teacher of the Year" is held in Smolensk region for the 26th time. This year, it brought together 16 participants from the 12 municipalities and city districts. For over 26 years of its history, a whole generation of teachers, who are ready to continue and creatively enrich the tradition of predecessors, to give rise to new directions in the development of the regional education, has grown.

Participation in such a significant competition is a victory already. All of the 16 contestants can confidently say about themselves that they are the winners! Through their dedication, tireless work and constant creative search, all the participants of the regional contest "Teacher of the Year" every day create the foundations for tomorrow.

Maxim Nikolaevich Luferenko, a Computer  Science teacher at Gymnasium №4, became the winner of the contest "Teacher of the Year - 2016" and received the Diploma and Award Certificate from Smolensk regional Administration.
