The results of the International Olympiad in Computer Science Informatics were announced in Smolensk

The State Secretary - Deputy Russian Defense Minister Nikolai Pankov took part in the International Olympiad in Computer Science for the university students, which took place at the Air Defense Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, named after Marshal of the Soviet Union A.M. Vasilevsky.

The representatives of 46 teams, including 7 teams from the CIS countries, participated in the competition.

The participants competed in the three categories:

- using Microsoft Office 2010 software applications;

- computer programming;

- solving complex problems in a single tactical background with Microsoft Office 2010 software applications.

There were individual and team competitions.

All the participants received medals, the winners were awarded with valuable gifts. The main prize - the Cup of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation went to the winner - the team of the Penza Branch of the Military Academy of Supplies and Logistics.
