The "Educator of the Year" was chosen in Smolensk

In the regional Administration there was a closing ceremony of the annual regional competition "Educator of the Year". The best teachers of the preschool educational institutions of Smolensk region were greeted by the Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy.

Improvement of the preschool education system, ensuring its quality and accessibility, raising the social status of the employees of kindergartens and other educational institutions are among the most important issues of the state policy.

One of the elements of professional development for preschool teachers is the participation in the annual regional competition "Educator of the Year", which this year brought together 13 teachers from 8 municipalities and urban districts of the region. Among the mains goals of the competition there are supporting innovative movement in the sphere of education and encouraging creative preschool teachers.

The Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy congratulated the winners and participants of the competition, highlighting the important role of the educator in developing a personality.

The winner of the regional contest "Educator of the year - 2016" is Borisenkova Ekaterina Nikolaevna, a teacher of the municipal budget preschool educational institution "Kindergarten №1 “Mashenka” in Safonovo.

The finalists of the eighth regional competition received financial awards. In addition, the winner will represent the region at the National professional competition "Educator of the Year in Russia - 2016".
