Honoring the best athletes

In the regional center there was an award ceremony for the best coaches and athletes of the region, dedicated to the Day of Russia. Also, as part of festive activities, school and university students who successfully complete the GTO requirements were awarded gold badges and certificates for the GTO complex.

In the Smolensk region it has become a tradition to honor the best athletes and their coaches on the eve of one of the main public holidays of the country.

This year the diplomas from the President of the Russian Federation, commemorative medals «XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi", the Ministry of Sports departmental awards, Letters of Appreciation from the Governor and the financial bonuses from the Regional Administration were awarded to 68 people. A GTO certificate and a gold badge for GTO complex were received by 35 students of educational institutions of the region.
