A new garment factory will appear in Smolensk region

The Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy held a working meeting with the representatives of the company LLC "RozTeh" on the opening of a new garment production in  Smolensk region.

It should be pointed out that one of the divisions of the Company - a garment factory, which employs about 400 people, is already operating in Gagarin.

In the nearest future the investor, who owns the famous brand "Wild Orchid", is planning a further expansion of production in our region. It involves building a second factory, which is going to locate in the Roslavl district. With the opening of the new facility over a hundred of new jobs will be created. At the moment, the issue of finding a production premises is being settled. The factory is expected to start operating in the 4th quarter of this year.

Also, the meeting discussed the prospects for the development of other business lines of the "RozTeh" company in the region. So, by 2018, the investor is planning to open in Smolensk the center of orders execution (in the urban format) of the national online retailer "Yulmart", which will focus on the entire region. The area of the new center will be about 45 thousand square meters, and the number of jobs will be about 800 people.

In addition, the management of the company is considering opening in  Smolensk region a network of small wholesale centers "Ryady", selling products of exclusively domestic production. The advantage for suppliers is the absence of payment delays and "entry tickets" for producers. Currently, this network is operating in the Moscow and Leningrad regions selling about 4 thousand types of products, which are produced in Russia.
