Smolensk region teachers visited the Historical Park "Russia is my Homeland"

On the eve of the new academic year, the regional Education, Science and Youth Affairs Department, on the recommendation of the relevant Ministry, organized on the basis of the VDNH (National Industry Achievements Exhibition)  a field trip for the August section of the regional methodical association of the teachers of the academic disciplines and courses within such subject areas as "Foundations of religious cultures and secular ethics" (FRCSE) and "Foundations of spiritual and moral culture of the peoples of Russia" (FSMCPR).

The teachers from Smolensk region gathered in pavilion number 57, which houses the Historical Park "Russia is my Homeland" with three multimedia exhibitions: "The Ruriks", "The Romanovs", "The twentieth century. 1914-1945. From the great shocks to the Great Victory".

There no other parks like this in Russia yet. The exhibition materials occupy more than 22 thousand square meters and are located on 2 tiers of the pavilion.

The creators of the exhibition - historians, artists, filmmakers, designers, experts in computer graphics - did their best to move the Russian history from the category of black-and-white textbooks to the bright, exciting and informative story, making every visitor feel a part of the past events.

The exhibition involves all forms of media: sensory tables and screens, movie theaters, lightboxes, collages, projectors, tablet computers; different techniques of video graphics, animation, three-dimensional modeling, and digital reconstruction are used.

So far more than a million and a half people have visited the park. 

This year the forum is held for the 25th time, Smolensk region joined it from the very beginning. With the great experience of participation, the representatives of our region traditionally took the leading position at the federal stage.
