The Governor’s working meeting with the Internal Affairs Ministry leaders

The Police Major-General Vasily Salyutin was appointed the Head of the Internal Affairs Ministry of Smolensk region by Presidential Decree №530 of October 6, 2016.

Today, the newly appointed Head of the regional Internal Affairs Ministry was introduced to Alexey Ostrovskiy by the first Deputy of Internal Affairs Minister Alexander Gorovoy.

"I am sure that the staff headed by Vasily Viktorovich Salyutin will be able to cope with the tasks that arise from the law "On Police" and other normative documents, including those approved by our President. Of course, the main task is to ensure peacefulness on the territory of Smolensk region, as it is the only condition for investment projects to be realized. An investor puts the money in the land where there is peace and quiet. This is what we are going to strive for.

In our turn, we would like together with you to approach the issues of implementing the programs on public order protection and security of citizens. You have an experience in working with law enforcement agencies, and we hope that these relationships will be continued in the future,"- said Alexander Gorovoy.
