The working meeting with Plenipotentiary representative of the Russian Federation President in the Central Federal District Alexander Beglov

Today, during the visit of Plenipotentiary representative of the Russian Federation President in the Central Federal District Alexander Beglov, there was his working meeting with Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy.

Alexey Ostrovskiy informed Alexander Beglov on the socio-economic situation in the region and on the measures taken by the Administration of Smolensk region to implement the May Decrees of the President.

The parties discussed the issues of forming the regional budget for 2017. It was pointed out that despite the extremely difficult economic situation, the regional budget remains socially oriented. The Governor made it a point to keep all the benefits established in Smolensk region.

At the same time, in accordance with the strict requirements of the Finance Ministry, the regional authorities have to reform the budget expenditures. First of all, it involves the indexation of social payments in 2017. But, nevertheless, the whole list of the social support measures provided to the people of Smolensk region in the previous years will remain.

In 2016, carrying out the activities aimed at achieving the main target indicator "Share of citizens having access to the state and municipal services on the "one window" principle in the place of residence, including the multi-functional centers of providing state services" to 98.5% was finished. A total of 296 windows serving the applicants were opened.

Also, the readiness of housing and utility facilities in the region for the autumn-winter heating season of 2016-2017 was discussed at the meeting.
