A working meeting of the Governor with the leaders of the regional branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF)
The Governor had a working meeting with the leaders of the regional branch of the party, as well as with the deputies representing the Communist Party faction in the regional Duma and the Smolensk City Council.
Welcoming the audience, Alexey Ostrovskiy pointed out: "When your party leader Valery Venediktovich Kuznetsov came to me with an initiative to hold a regular meeting with the leadership of the regional branch of the party, I gladly agreed. I am ready for a dialogue on all the issues that concern you, the leaders of the regional office, as well as the Communist Party faction deputies in the regional Duma and the Smolensk city council.
Valeriy Kuznetsov outlined a range of issues and topics on the agenda which need being considered by the Governor.
The participants of the meeting discussed the socio-economic situation in the region, including ensuring access to medical care in the rural areas (Ugra and Sychevka districts), organization of balloon gas supply to the population in a number of municipalities.
In the framework of the coalition Administration, the communists declared their readiness to actively participate in the further formation of a professional reserve. Alexey Ostrovskiy urged the representatives of the Communist Party to nominate their party members to work in the executive authorities, including the level of municipalities more actively.
The meeting participants considered the implementation of the Order of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on preparation for holding the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the revolution of 1917, in respect of their organization in Smolensk region.
Among the other topics discussed at the meeting there were issues of agricultural cooperation development, mechanisms of supporting agricultural producers, implementation of investment projects.
Irina Timoshenkova, a deputy of the Smolensk City Council, thanked the Head of the region for organizing such a meeting, during which the parliamentarians had an opportunity to ask questions concerning them and get answers to them, as they say, first-hand. "Thank you very much, Alexey Vladimirovich, for this meeting. I am glad that we have more and more mutual understanding", - emphasized the deputy.
In his turn, Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy said: "Thank you for your kind words addressed to me. I thank you for the constructive dialogue that has taken place today, and I hope that we will be able to continue to discuss emerging issues in the same business-like atmosphere and promptly solve them in the interests of the residents of the region".
