Smolensk "Yunarmiya" (Youth Army) members took part in the All-Russian meeting

The second meeting of the All-Russian children and youth military-patriotic social movement "Yunarmiya" (Youth Army) took place in Moscow region. The representatives of the regional headquarters of the movement - 425 delegates from 85 subjects of the Federation participated in it. The Smolensk delegation, with the support of the regional Administration, also took part in the meeting.

Smolensk region was represented by the four “Yunarmia” members selected at the regional meeting, which was held at the tourist complex "Sokolia Gora" from March 27 to April 9. The delegation of our region included the winners of the sports and art competitions, as well as military-patriotic contests.

In the framework of the All-Russian meeting, there was a plenary session. Its participants discussed the prospects for the development of the movement and the best practices of patriotic education. The event was attended by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, who summed up the results of the first year of the “Yunarmia” movement existence. In addition, the “Yunarmia” members took part in mini-football competitions, tested their skills in wall-climbing and work-out, went through the obstacle course. In addition, the young people fought on the radio-controlled models of tanks and checked the accuracy in the laser shooting range.

During the last year, the youth movement has gained popularity among young men and women - now there are more than 100,000 people in “Yunarmia”. In Smolensk region, the local headquarters of the movement have been set up in all the 27 municipalities, the total number of “Yunarmai” members is more than 2 thousand people.
