A Smolensk resident received the President's Letter of Appreciation

Andrei Shlyakhtin, the head of the regional branch of the All-Russian Public Movement "Victory Volunteers", was awarded the Letter of Appreciation from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin for his active participation in preparing and holding the events dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

The award ceremony was held at the "Territory of Meanings on Klyazma" forum, which is now taking place in Vladimir region. Within the program "Young leaders of Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), human rights protection and volunteer projects, there was a meeting with Sergei Novikov, the head of the Presidential Office for Public Projects, and Grigory Petushkov, the chairman of the Public Unions Association "National Council of Youth and Children's Unions of Russia". The Forum guests shared their experience with the program participants and presented awards to 19 young men and women for their outstanding involvement in preparing and holding the events dedicated to the Victory Day.

It should be reminded that the "Territory of Meanings on Klyazma" youth educational forum is the largest educational platform of the country, which annually brings together about 7 thousand young specialists working in various fields. This year, within the Forum framework there are seven thematic programs planned. From July 21 to July 28 there is a program "Young leaders of NGOs, human rights and volunteer projects" taking place. Among its participants, there are 14 representatives of the regional public organizations "Volunteers of Victory", "Medical Volunteers", "Smolensk deaf community youth", the Youth Parliament, and agencies of the student self-government. About 60 young people from our region will visit the Forum.
