Alexey Ostrovskiy congratulated the staff of the "Kray Dorogobuzhsky” newspaper on its 100th anniversary

During his working trip to Dorogobuzh, Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy took part in a ceremony dedicated to the celebration of the 100th anniversary of one of the oldest district newspapers in our region - "Kray Dorogobuzhsky". The Head of the region congratulated the editorial staff and the veterans of the newspaper and awarded Certificates of Honor and gifts to the best employees.

The first issue of the newspaper was printed on July 16, 1917. For 100 years of its existence, the newspaper has passed a great historical path along with the whole country. The main political and economic events in the development of the state were reflected in the newspaper's titles: "News of the Soviet of Workers’, Soldiers' and Peasants' Deputies", "World Revolution", "Struggle", "Collective Path", "Leninskaya Pravda", and "Dorogobuzhsky Region".

Speaking at the ceremony, Alexey Ostrovskiy pointed out that the anniversary of "Krai Dorogobuzhsky" was a significant event not only for the editorial staff, but also for the residents of the district - all those for whom the newspaper has become dear and near for those years. “I understand how important the centennial is for everybody here, so I made it a point to come here and to congratulate the team on this significant event. "Krai Dorogobuzhsky" is a true people's newspaper. Residents of the district enjoy reading the newspaper, they trust and love it."

During the ceremony, Alexey Ostrovskiy awarded the Certificates of Honor from the Regional Administration and Letters of Appreciation from the Governor to the best employees of the editorial staff of “Krai Dorogobuzhsky”. Tamara Rubanova, the head of the computer imposition department, Larisa Koroleva, the chief accountant, Elena Zanegina, the head of the creative work department,  Elena Sysoeva, an imposition designer, were rewarded for years of their outstanding work, highly professional performance and personal contribution to the development of the district journalism. A compact camera and a multifunction device - a copier-printer were a pleasant gift to the editorial staff presented by the Head of the region.

There was a concert at the end of the ceremony.
