Smolensk will host the "Starfall" fireworks festival

The VII international fireworks festival "Starfall” which is held with the support of the Administration of the region is going to take place on July 22 at the “Yuzhny” airdrome in Smolensk. The teams of professional pyrotechnics are going to present a one-hour show for the residents and guests of Smolensk.

This year, “Starfall” promises to be especially bright, because the performance of the most titled teams-winners of both Russian and international pyrotechnic festivals from Russia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and Norway is expected. The challenge for every team is to make their performance unique, presenting a real pyrotechnic performance for the audience.

This year, the festival is timed to coincide with two holidays – the Day of the Athlete and the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity. Therefore, apart from the spectacular pyrotechnic program, the organizers have paid special attention to cultural and mass activities on the territory of the Festival: sports competitions and a children's amusement park.

At the disposal of young Smolensk residents, there will be a children's town with all kinds of attractions: roller coasters, trampolines, a pool with water balloons, a car circuit, various workshops, etc. The animators, aqua make-up stylists, stilt walkers, and jugglers will be there working for the audience.

The competitions in the national wrestling, arm wrestling, kicker (table football) and table tennis will be held on the sports grounds.

The food court has also been expanded this year: thanks to the cooperation with the Regional Public Association "National Congress of Smolensk region», the Uzbek and Azerbaijani national cuisine will be presented at the festival. In addition, everyone can visit the City of Craftmen, where souvenir products of folk crafts are going to be presented.

As for the concert program, there will be performances of the bands "Disco-RD", "KIMAKIMA", "Tverdyi Znak", "Ivan Kupala", the cover band “FreshTime”, the KHE Brothers’ Disco and the Retro FM Party.
