His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia will consecrate the church in honor of Saint Great Martyr and Victorious Georgiy during the celebration of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Lady Mary, one of the largest and most significant holidays of the Orthodox world.
St Georgiy's Church is a cross-domed structure with 4 small and one large drums, crowned with helmet-shaped domes. The main part of the building has balconies all around the perimeter, as well as a street balcony on the west side of the temple. This temple will be the fourth one in Yartsevo.
The laying of the first stone and installation of the worship cross were done on May 6, 2007. The construction of a stone church instead of a temporary wooden one began in the summer of 2012. It should be reminded that the place for the construction was chosen by Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, now the Holy Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.
