«Gagarin’s Spring» as artists see it
In the homeland of the first cosmonaut they organized the exhibition «Gagarin’s Spring» dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the first space flight. Governor Sergey Antufiev and Hero of the Soviet Union, space pilot of the USSR Oleg Atkov took part in the commencement meeting.
For the last 10 years this exhibition has been held every spring. This year the event became international. The exhibition represents 300 works of art made by 150 artists from different countries and cities of Russia.
The first visitors have already seen the works and talked with the artists. «Gagarin’s Spring is a unique event in the Russian culture that shows the interest both of the artists and the visitors to space and to the first discoverer in works of art», - said Sergey Antufiev at the commencement meeting.
