The results of the All-Russian ecological action "Green Russia" were announced in Smolensk region

Since September 2, when the ecological action started, in all the districts of the region, the territories and water bodies were cleaned from garbage. In addition, Smolensk residents planted trees and flowers, and eliminated unauthorized landfills. It should be noted that many educational institutions joined in the action - the students not only took part in collecting waste paper but also cleaned the school territory.

In many districts, the military graves were also cleaned and fixed up during the action. So, in Vyazma district, those were the Memorial at the Common grave in the Ekaterininskoe cemetery, the Common grave of doctors shot during the Great Patriotic War at the Vyazma-Novotorzhskaya station, and the territory near the Memorial to the victims of the German transit camp "Dulag".

In total, in Smolensk region, the cleaning actions were organized at more than three hundred sites. The most active municipality was Yartsevo District, with over 6,700 Yartsevo residents taking part in the action.
