The first race of robots "Robodraiv" took place in Smolensk

Young technicians tested their robots, assembled on the “Arduino” and “Lego” platforms, in several disciplines. In fact, the cars competed in the speed of covering the route with small turns and slides, and in pulling ropes. In the category of "trajectory" and "labyrinth", the robots for a minimum time covered winding routes. In addition, the youngest participants of the competition had to assemble a robot from the photo and set it in motion.

The most spectacular stage, according to the participants and spectators, was "robotofootball": in the pitch, the teams of three robots each tried to score as many goals as possible in the gate of opponents just like in a football match.

According to the idea of the​​ organizers, the regional branch of the Russian Union of Young Scientists and the Alumni Association of the Smolensk branch of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, the Festival has become an effective platform for young Smolensk residents interested in  robotics to meet, gain new knowledge, and share experience.

It should be noted that the number of clubs in this technical sphere is increasing annually, and such competitions are aimed to attract teenagers and children, from the youngest age, to scientific and technical design. By the way, among 62 participants, who presented more than 35 robots, about 20 were preschool children.
