PRESIDENT OF RUSSIA TALKED TO WORKERS OF SMOLENSK HOSIERY
Being in Smolensk on business Dmitry Medvedev paid a visit to the local hosiery and talked with workers of the mill.
The head of the state had a look around the knitwear factory shops, hosiery in particular, which is partly manufactured of biocotton specially for cosmonauts.
Talking to the employees – women, mainly, Dmitry Medvedev touched upon the issue of using maternity capital. According to the President, it must have a special purpose. For instance, mothers could spend this sum on their own education. ‘The woman herself might want to receive an education. Then, it seems right to me to think it over. It goes without saying that children are sacred to us, and that is the purpose of maternity capital, but the woman is directly connected with maternity, therefore, we ought to consider this’, the President said.
