The all-Russian ecological action "Green Spring" will take place in Smolensk region

The annual all-Russian ecological action "Green Spring", initiated by the V.I. Vernadsky Non-Governmental Environmental Foundation, will be one of the most important events of the Year of Volunteer.

The Natural Resources and Ecology Department, together with the Directorate for Specially Protected Natural Territories of Smolensk region, invite organizations, institutions and companies, as well as residents of the region, to take an active part in holding ecological mass events on the territory of all the municipalities from April 21 to May 21.

The events involve cleaning streets and squares of the settlements of the region from litter, planting trees, bushes and flowers, collecting waste paper and recyclables, organizing separate collection of garbage, setting up and restoring children's playgrounds. Particular attention, according to the organizers of the action, will be paid to helping veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the senior residents of Smolensk region and other socially unprotected categories of the region's population.
