Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy celebrated the winners of the XXVIII regional contest "Teacher of the Year"

The Administration of the region announced the results of the XXVIII regional contest "Teacher of the Year". The winners were congratulated by Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy.

Today, the future of both the region and the country as a whole largely depends on teachers. It is on their shoulders that responsibility lies not only for the education and upbringing of the younger generation but also for forming the outlook and building the character of each student.

"All those present, by definition, deserve a high award. The fact that you want and participate in this contest - the 28th one in our region - is already quiet worthy. You have managed to overcome yourself, your uncertainty; you are striving for new success and achievements. This is a very good example for your students. I am convinced that participation in the contest will be that very start that will open new career opportunities for you," noted the Head of the region.

The winner of the contest was Anna Ignatenko, a primary school teacher at school # 29 in Smolensk. She will represent our region at the all-Russian stage of the contest, which will be held in September in St. Petersburg.
