Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy presented awards to the best healthcare professionals in Smolensk region

The Administration of the region hosted an award ceremony for healthcare professionals. The best doctors of Smolensk were greeted by Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy.

Today, more than 20,000 people work in the regional healthcare system, including more than 11,000 doctors and nurses in medical institutions.

Addressing the audience, Alexey Ostrovskiy stressed: "I am sure that together we will continue to systematically improve the quality of medical services, because there is no doubt that the key to success is your professionalism, your devotion to the Hippocratic Oath, and your selfless work for the sake of people's health. Then, Alexey Ostrovskiy presented the best representatives of the healthcare industry with the "Honors Healthcare Professional" insignia, Certificates of Honor from the Healthcare Ministry of the Russian Federation, Certificates of Honor from the Administration of Smolensk region, as well as Letters of Appreciation from the Governor. Dmitry Bogdanov, a doctor of the Emergency room, was awarded the Diploma of the third degree of the All-Russian competition of doctors "The best doctor of 2017" in the nomination "The best doctor of emergency medical care".
