The meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding the Abilimpix Championship in Smolensk region - 2018

At the Administration of the region, Oksana Loboda, Vice-Governor, chaired a meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding the regional qualifying stage of the IV National championship on professional skills among disabled people and persons with disabilities “Abilimpix”.

It should be reminded that “Abilimpix” is ​​an international non-profit movement aimed at creating a system of professional skills competitions for people with disabilities and limited health abilities (LHA). One of its main goals is to provide professional orientation for individuals with LHA, to motivate them to obtain vocational training, to assist with their employment and socio-cultural inclusion. The Championship got its name from the English "Olympics of Abilities".

The Russian Federation joined the movement in 2014. In Smolensk region, the regional qualifying stages of the National Championship "Abilimpix" have been held under the patronage of Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy since 2015. So far, our representatives have won different awards for such competencies as "Artist-Designer", "Web Design", "Database Administration", and "Painting".

During the meeting, it was noted that the creation of conditions for the personal and professional growth of people with disabilities and limited health abilities is in the focus of special attention of the Administration of the region and personally the Governor.

This year, the regional stage will be held on October 25-26. The competition will be held in 10 competencies: "Artistic design", "Database administration", "Text processing", "Medical and social care", "Car repair and maintenance", "Painting", "Economy and accounting", "Sewing", "Artistic embroidery ", and" Beading ".
