Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy took part in the ceremony dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the "Monolit" company

The A.S. Griboedov Smolensk State Drama Theater hosted the ceremony dedicated to the 30th anniversary of AO "Monolit" (joint-stock company). Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy congratulated the employees and the management of the Company on the significant date.

Production Association "Monolit" was founded in 1988. Currently, the Company employs almost 600 people. It should be noted that the Company is the leading Smolensk manufacturer of building materials. The product range includes more than 70 items, including foundation blocks, facing brick, concrete, etc. The technical equipment of the plant, modern machinery, production culture and qualified staff allow the Company to produce high-quality products that meet international standards of comfort and environmental friendliness.

Greeting the participants, Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy emphasized that the success of Monolit was largely due to its founder Alexander Petrovich Stepanov: “It was an absolutely right decision of the city authorities to confer the founder of the company Alexander Petrovich Stepanov with the title of Honor Citizen of Smolensk. That fact that he always treated each employee with love and respect is another confirmation of his great talent and great personality. Speaking about the company, I want to say that thanks to the wise management of Alexander Petrovich, and now of Maxim Alexandrovich Stepanov, the company has good prospects for further sustainable development and a guarantee of stable work in the future for all of you as a result.”

The Head of the region specially noted the high social responsibility that Monolit has been demonstrating throughout its history. “The company is socially responsible, and not only to its employees, but also to the city, to the Smolensk residents. It participatws in the implementation of a number of socially significant projects in the sphere of sports development and other areas. I am grateful to the team of Monolit for giving the residents a wonderful recreation park "Solovyinaya Roscha". The park was expected to be good, but thanks to your work, thanks to the personal efforts of Maxim Alexandrovich, it has turned out to exceed even the highest expectations. I am sure that in a very short time the park will be opened,” said Alexey Ostrovskiy.

Then, the Governor presented the best employees of the Company with Honor certificates from the Administration of Smolensk Region for many years of hard work.

At the end of the event there was a big festive concert.
