27.11.2018 The 60th anniversary of the Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka Smolensk Regional Music Colledge

The Smolensk Regional Philharmonic Society hosted a ceremony dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka Smolensk Regional Music College.

During the ceremony, Vice-Governor Konstantin Nikonov greeted the audience and read out the welcoming message of the Head of the region Alexey Ostrovskiy. “Over the years of development, creative search and largely due to the efforts of your predecessors and colleagues, as well as your personal efforts, an extensive network of music schools and art schools has been created in Smolensk region, outstanding and talented professional and amateur art groups have appeared, and artistic initiative has been widely developed.

Your “temple of arts” revealed many talents, educated more than three thousand qualified specialists - musicians, teachers and performers who successfully work not only in Smolensk region, but also in other regions of Russia, as well as outside the borders of our Homeland”.

At the ceremony, the best professionals of the Music College were presented with awards of the federal and regional levels - Gratitude from the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Letters of Appreciation from the Governor and Diplomas from the Administration of Smolensk Region.
