President of Russia has congratulated the best social worker of Smolensk Region

President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has acknowledged the best social workersof state social welfare system. Native of Smolensk, chief of department, dome doctor of Pochinok psychoneurological house, Alexander Fyodorov has taken a prize personally from the head of the state in the Kremlin palace.  

«The best social worker» All-Russian Awards was held in our country for the first time. First  stages have taken place in regions of Russia, notably that for participation in competition more estimable workers were advanced by team. Competition committee of our region has selected 12 best social workers for participation in the final stage of competition. Final sitting of competition committee in Ministry of Public Health and Social Development of the RF has decided winners in all twenty nominations.

Top position in nomination «The best chief of department of social service institution» has won  Alexander Ivanovich Fyodorov. He is working in social welfare system for 32 years. In 2004 he has got the highest qualification grade by occupation «Psychiatry».

In his appealto winners of competition from different regions of our country, Dmitry Medvedev has emphasized: «Looking after the ill and the elderly is something that only people for whom their work is not a mere formality, but a life-long vocation, can do. If this were not so, you would not be able to keep working in the difficult conditions that you face, whether in the cities or the rural areas».

This year, you have all been working very hard, as last year, and have helped an enormous number of people. I am not sure how accurate the statistics are, but the figures we have show that you have helped almost 20 million people. That is a big share of our population, a large number of people who cannot live without your help, attention and support. The state authorities, in turn, cannot live without working on developing the foundations of our social welfare system, and we will do this.Once again, congratulations on your professional holiday. I wish you health and happiness. We count very much on your work».

For the last two weeks it is already the second time when President acknowledged natives of Smolensk. On  the 1-st. June, on International Children's Day, was awarded Smolensk family Pinchuck, that  brings up 13 kids.
