An international tourist festival «Soloviova pereprava» is finished

The second time from 29 to 31 of July in the village of Soloviovo of Kardymovo district aninternational tourist festival «Soloviova pereprava» went on. 

This year it has been devoted to the 70 years since the beginning of the Great Patriotic War and the memory of soldiers, died in heavy fighting in summer 1941.

Crossing has come into the history as the place of bloody fighting and became a symbol of heroism, selflessness and unbeaten courage of our soldiers in fighting against Napoleonic and fascist armies in 1812 and 1941.

The aim of the event was to show the youth the best traditions of domestic history and spiritual inheritance. Within the festival an international forum for young people «Soloviova pereprava – Molodezh.RU» went on. Representatives from Latvia, Belarus, Moscow and Pskov regions took part in it.

The reconstruction of defense fighting made by military historical clubs of Russia and Belarus has become one of the most memorable events. In memory of the dead soviet soldiers wreaths and floats with candles were launched. Remains of 60 soldiers found by search parties were reburied in the memory place near the church in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God «The Seeking of the lost».
