In Smolensk in settlement «Vishenki» was opened International volunteer camp

International volunteer camp «Nadezhda» was opened in our city at the second time. In the camp are volunteers from Europe and Canada. And as before the main aim is – to help children with specific physical capacities by their adaptation in contemporary society.  

In solemn ceremony of opening took part Head of Department of Social Development Sergey Gorjunov, Deputy of Head of Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy Department, - Head of Youth Policy Department Sergey Kartoshkin, commissioner for child's rights in Smolensk region Natalia Michailova.

Over a period of two weeks students-volunteers from Italy, Denmark, Spain, Turkey, Canada and Great Britain, will live and work in settlement «Vishenki». The main tasks for participants of volunteer camp «Nadezhda» are to take care of children, to play with them, to help in organization of all kinds of events, to lend any feasible assistance. Incidentally, many volunteers  speak Russian well enough. They learned Russian language especially for their travel in Smolensk.

For children with specific physical capacities will be organized Russia Days and Days of other countries that take part in the work of volunteer camp «Nadezhda»,  disco party «Nations  friendship», excursions in memorial complex «Katyn», in  Fljonovo, along holy places of Smolensk region.

International camp gives children perfect opportunity to become familiar different cultures and to help each other.
