Plan of Activities was signed with Vitebsk region

Signing of Plan of Activities between Administration of Smolensk region and regional executive committee of Vitebsk took place in regional Smolensk Administration. Program of Activities contains the following points: collaboration in trade and economic, scientific and technical, humanities areas for years 2011-2012.

 This document was signed by Sergey Antufiev, Governor of Smolensk region and Alexander Kosinets,  Chairman of regional executive committee of  Vitebsk.

Belorussian delegation laid flowers on the Fire of Everlasting Glory in Smolensk hero-city and visited office of embassy of the Republic of Belarus before the solemn ceremony.

 And also was held a working meeting of Sergey Antufiev and Alexander Kosinets, where specific questions concerning collaboration between Smolensk and Vitebsk region were discussed.  Than Governor and Chairman of regional executive committee examined in regional Administration expositions of economic and tourist potential of Smolensk.

Nowadays Smolensk region and the Republic of Belarus have the closest business links. And develop of collaboration has positive and firm dynamics and good perspective. The Republic of Belarus is the biggest business partner of Smolensk region and takes the first place between the biggest foreign trade partners of our region. On territory of our region works many joint ventures, cooperate country commodity producers. In our region lives a quantity of Russian and Belarusian families, was settled standing cultural ties and spiritual liaisons. Regulates information traffic, realizes effective co-operation in the region of education, culture and sport.

All this facts caused the opening in July 2010 on territory of Smolensk region the office of embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation, that promote decision of many legal questions and dynamic development of trade and economic.
