Сelebrations devoted to the National Unity Day and the Day of National Cultures took place in dramatic theatre

On the 3-rd. of November in the regional dramatic theatretook place celebrations devoted to the National Unity Day. To this event times the Day of National Cultures and in the scope of this arrangement the guests got to know the exhibition of decorative and applied arts and  diaspora ethnic cuisines.

On this day was held the solemn ceremony of closing of the All-Russian Watch of Memory 2011.

Concert program began from awarding of active members of diaspora with honorary diploma from Governor of Smolensk region. These documents were handed over by Olga Okuneva Deputy of Governor. She appealed to the audience with complimentary address: «Our grate forefathers had given to us the common future. During the Great Patriotic War they had stricken for freedom all together and had not paid attention to nationality in strike with common enemy. Administration of our region will made it more attractive and richer only in close cooperation with each of you. Wish peace, goodness and happiness to each home! »

Design to time «Days of National Cultures in Smolensk» to the National Unity Day were made during the sitting of the Public Chamber and Association of «National congress of Smolensk region». This day became the real holiday of friendship and unity, because in Smolensk and in the region live more than hundred of nationalities.

After the solemn part for participants and guests was organized a concert where performed Smolensk creative teams, teams of diaspora and foreign folk teams.
