Governor participated in the opening of regional hockey Championship

To starting match of Championship preceded friendly match between USSR hockey legends and team captains of Smolensk region. 

Symbolic puck throw-in before this play was made by Governor Sergey Antufiev and double Olympic champion Alexander Yakushev.

Head of our region voiced a hope during his address to fans that near years in Smolensk region will grow hockey Olympic champions.

Alexander Yakushev noted that now Smolensk region is one of the leaders in hockey infrastructure increase.
