The authorized representative of the President has visited Smolensk region

On the 10-th of November the authorized representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal Okrug Oleg Govorun has visited Smolensk region.

Social and economic states of affaires were discussed at the meeting between Oleg Govorun and Segey Antufiev. Particularly, the Governor has informed of preliminary totals of 2011, results on budget employees payrise, preparations for celebration of 1150 years of Smolensk. The Parties have exchanged their opinions of further long-term development of Smolensk region.

Besides Oleg Govorun has acquainted with work procedure of the regional Reception Room of the President of the Russian Federation, paying special attention to the organization work aimed at objective, all-round and timely consideration of personal and written appeals.

Then Oleg Govorun and Sergey Antufiev have visited the Federal Centre of traumatology, orthopaedics and endoprosthesis under construction, where they have seen a four-storey principal housing of the future medical establishment. Construction of the Smolensk medical centre has been started since 2008, in 2012 it is going to be completed. The capacity of the future centre is more than 1, 5 thousand operations per year. It will consist of three sections for adults with 50 places in each one and one for children with 15 places.

The principal housing will have a policlinic, operation unit, resuscitation department, radiographic department, clinicodiagnostic laboratory and a range of other rooms. 585 employees will work for the centre and treat patients from Smolensk region and neighboring regions of Russia and Republic of Belarus.
