Sergey Antufiev at the Third Russian and Abkhazian business forum

The head of the region Sergey Antufiev took part in the Third Russian and Abkhazian business forum-2011 as one of the representatives of the Russian delegation in Sukhumi.

At forum during two days the most significant questions relating to Russian and Abkhazian cooperation in the social and economy spheres that is the expansion of interregional ties between two states were discussed. The Governor Sergey Antufiev has made a report about cooperation of Smolensk region and Gudautskiy district of the Abkhazia Republic.

The agreement of cooperation of Smolensk region and Gudautskiy district of the Abkhazia Republic and the action plan for the period of two years was signed in October 2010. These documents determine the basic aspects of cooperation in the fields of economy, information technologies and social ties, education and culture, public health and youth policy. Three times the delegation of Smolensk region has visited Abkhazia, in September the delegation from Gudautskiy district has visited Smolensk.

Commenting the results of the Third Russian and Abkhazian business forum - 2011, he has also informed that Minister of the regional development Viktor Basargin and the Head of the Department on interregional and cultural ties with foreign countries of the Administration of the President of Russia Sergey Vinokurov have noted that Smolensk region is one of the regions which develops interregional cooperation with Abkhazia actively.
