Presentation of video monitoring complexes on regional electoral districts

In conference hall of Administration of Smolensk region was held presentation of video monitoring complexes that will be settled on regional electoral districts during Election of the President of the Russian Federation.

Vladimir Medvedev, Chairman of regional election commission and Peter Lopashinov Deputy of Governor, Head of Department for information technologies, connection and supply with digital services has explained to representatives of political parties and mass media about further organization of webcast from electoral districts.

Also by the example of one of electoral district in Smolensk was shown work of video monitoring complex: presented in conference hall pressmen and preventatives of parties kept watch on-line over activity on a model of electoral district.

15 billions roubles will invest into webcams installation throughout all the country. This system must be ready and be in operation to Election of the President of the Russian Federation. According to the decision of Central Election Commission from the 27-th.of 2011 «About video surveillance in voting premises during Election of the President of the Russian Federation on the 4-th.of March 2012», transmission image data will be carry out on special web-site in Internet.

808 electoral districts in our region will be equipped with webcams. Regional data processing centers provide image recording on electronic media. Such video material must store during one year from the date of official publication of elections results. According to decision of Central Election Commission access to stored video-materials is not subject of limitation.
