Modernization of public health: new standards in medical treatment

Sergey Antufiev visited regional clinical hospital of Smolensk and became familiar with fulfillment of repair activities conducting in the scope of arrangements of regional program of Modernization of public health for 2011-2012. Governor inspected newoperating rooms of therapeutically body accompanied by head doctor Evgeniy Kamanin. 

For conducting of capital repair of regional clinical hospital is planned to invest 165,7 million rubles. From this amount in 2011 was drawn about 54 million rubles. Thanks to this means in therapeutically bodies Nr.5 and Nr.7 was made replacement of windows frames, sanitary-engineering equipment, ceramic floors and electric wiring and also works by interior finishing.

But complementary to creation of comfortable conditions for patients one of the basic elements of modernization of public health is purchase of new modern medical equipment. And for this purpose in 2011 to medical institution was assigned 250 million rubles. This year will be additionally invested 188 million rubles. Already were purchased and are using   roentgenological and endoscopic systems, artificial lung ventilation apparatuses for adults and newborns, high-technology surgical facilities and laboratory equipment.

Evgeniy Kamanin reported to Sergey Antufiev about arts of medical assistance that is rendering in therapeutically body. Governor inspected several wards, operational unit of ophthalmological department and also laboratorial rooms.

Also the Head of the region called attention of journalists to results that were already achieved thanks to conducting of arrangements according to program of Modernization of public health. In the short run will be repaired and re-equiped 64 medical institutions this fact allows to bring medical services to new qualitative level.
