The officers of correctional system have celebrated a professional holiday

The second time in the modern times history of Russia the officers of correctional system have officially celebrated their professional holiday – Worker’s Day of correctional system – after signing of the corresponding Act on 16 November 2010 by President of the RF. But the official date of establishment of State Department for the Execution of Sentences is the 12-th of Marth 1879: on this day first in history of the Russian State was established Prison Department.

Today the number of employee of correctional system in Russia exceeds 300 thousand workers and workers of Smolensk regional Administration of Federal Correctional Service are its worthy representatives.

Sergey Antufiev – Governor of Smolensk region, Anatoliy Mishnev – Chairperson of regional Duma and Heads of federal territorial form of government congratulated workers and veterans with their professional holiday.

Head of the region mentioned in his speech that for workers of Administration of Federal Correctional Service in Smolensk region stand serious goals concerning more effective development of domestic correctional system, providing of medical maintaining and working activity, creation of civilized conditions of institutionalization and implementation of European Norms in the area of  works standards of penal institution. It is necessary to give special attention to problems of education of juvenile malefactors and help them return to productive life.

Sergey Antufiev awarded veterans and distinguished workers of department with Diploma of Merit of Administration of Smolensk region and thanked them for professionalism, responsibility and fidelity to duty.   Team of federal public institution Nr.6 of Administration of Federal Correctional Service in Smolensk region was conferred with streamer and gift of money.
