An Agreement with CIS Federal Agency has been signed

Today the Governor Sergey Antufiev and the chief of the CIS and international humanitarian cooperation Federal Agency Konstantin Kosachev have signed in Moscow an Agreement between the Administration of Smolensk region and the CIS and international humanitarian cooperation Federal Agency.

In the first place the document is aimed at all-round support for development of international humanitarian, scientific, technical, cultural, informational and business ties of Russia at regional level.

The Agreement provides for projects implementation intended for support of countrymen, popularization and promotion of the Russian language abroad, export of educational services assistance, cultural exchange.

Besides development of complex events such as presentations of Smolensk region abroad, for example, in the Russian centers of science and culture.

A plan of concrete events 2012 – 2013 is a constituent part of the Agreement. In particular, it provides participation of representatives of our region in scientific, literary and touristic exhibitions, festivals, concerts, Olympiads, sports competitions, conducted by the CIS and international humanitarian cooperation Federal Agency both in Russia and abroad.
