In Smolensk they paid tribute to victims of plane crash

Today events devoted to the victims of plane crash, which carried away the President of Poland Lekh Kachin’sky and other representatives of higher state authority, army, priesthood and public organizations of Republic of Poland went on.

The air plane of the polish President has crashed on 10 April 2010 morning. 96 persons were on board – 88 passengers and 8 crewmen. All of them are died.

During the second anniversary of the tragedy funeral events have begun in the place of the air plane crash. The chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin layed flowers to the memory stone, mounted in the place of crash. Besides the deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affaires Vladimir Titov, the first Governor Deputy of Smolensk region Michael Kurkov, the chairman of the regional Duma Anatoly Mishnev, the chief federal inspector Olga Okuneva, other officials took part in the ceremony.

At birch in the place of crash an ecumenic prayer was made, all passengers and crewmen of the presidential board were called by name. In the ceremony the delegation in the lead of the Ministry of culture and national heritage of Poland Bogdan Zdroevski took part in the ceremony. 96 icon lamps were lighted to the memory of died, flowers were laid. In a year it is planned to place a monument in this place black cracked wall 2 meters height and 115 meters length with names of died.
